Sydneysider  Tom Hespe has been traipsing his boots through the murky swamps of inner city rock n roll and along the dusty trails of country music for well over twenty years. He is a multi-instrumentalist (vocals, saxophone, guitar, bass,), singer songwriter and promoter. Tom has played with many bands on many stages and clocked up a lot of miles and stories-sublime and ridiculous-along the way.  His current co-conspirators Tom Jones (bass) and Reuben Alexander and Willem Van Ekert (drums) are helping create a sound that flits from rock n roll rumblings through the blues and jazz  to deftly crafted country songs.

Jesse Younan Tribute Show

The Newsagency , 74-76 Pyrmont Bridge Rd Camperdown , Sydney

I am honoured to be performing once more at the Jesse Younan Tribute show. Leukaemia cruelly took Jesse way too young just as he had finished recording what was to be his last album, the Christian Pyle produced "Good Day for A Migraine" Established by Jesse's brother Emad over a decade ago this annual show celebrates the legacy of Jesse's soulful songwriting. No one could ever match match his voice or playing but his songs are a great platform for musicians and it is always a thrill to hear them interpreted. In the past I have played this gig solo as well as with The Paper Scissors, Liz Martin and The Anon Anons.
